Where to Now?
We got up really early, packed up our cats and our stuff, and headed out. Sean's car was in the shop, so we dropped him off at work on the westbank and then pulled over in a parking lot to decide on our next move.
The moment wasn't lost on us. We took some time to talk about it and relish in it. We sat there in the pouring down rain, looking at our maps, making our plans. It was wonderful!
Tennessee was the closest, and I really wanted to see Linda, but we also wanted to see Wanda in Oklahoma. In the end, we decided to go back to Dallas. The truck was making some noise, and I would rather have it looked at closer to home. Also, I had promised Dale we'd see him again in two weeks.
We thought we might camp one more night on the way back. We stopped at a place called Indian Creek Recreation Area and asked about their rates. It was only eight dollars a night for primitive camping and you could drive right up to the campsite. That sounded great, but then the man said the roads were too muddy right now and suggested we come back tomorrow.
A little disappointed, we drove on to Alexandria. We found the city park so the cats could run and Alex could play. We were going to stay in Alexandria for the night and go to the zoo the next day, but then changed our minds. I told Alex we would go to the zoo in Dallas and we headed back.
