The Adventures of Cheryl and Alex

Our adventure was filled with fun and amazing experiences. From getting too close to a hibernating alligator in the bayou of Louisiana to being surrounded by coyotes in the desert of California, and all sorts of heart-stopping situations in between, this was an adventure of a lifetime!

Alex and I traveled for eleven months and it was all new and exciting and just plain awesome! I don't have the whole story up yet, but it won't be long now.

We have some of the pictures online, with most of them being later in our journey. We didn't start taking pictures until we went to Legoland in California. I don't know why. We just never thought about it until then. We were having such a blast!

If any of the friends we made are reading this, we would like to say a big, "Hello!" We are back home in Texas and have settled into our "normal" routine. We would love to one day retrace our steps and take pictures and meet up with you guys, but you know how that goes. I'm so grateful we could experience this kind of freedom even one time. Life has a way of getting too complicated and before you know it, you can't even escape for a few days. Then again, who really knows what tomorrow will bring? We may see you soon!

Our Cats

Everyone was amazed that these cats didn't run away! They would stay with the truck or go exploring with us. Haldir, the white one, even followed me into the middle of a baseball game! We all laughed so hard when a time out had to be called--first for me being there, and then again for him. Our adventures wouldn't have been nearly as interesting without our babies.
