You can't search the images by name, but if you know the time and area you are looking for, you can browse the images online or you can download the set.

If your local library has a large enough genealogy section, they may have subscriptions to some of the major paid sites, like ancestry.com and heritagequestonline.com. You can use these sites free as long as you are a member of the library. Heritagequest Online can be used from home with a password, but I believe you can only use ancestry.com while you are at the library.
