Yellow Mustard for Burns

First aid for sunburn, hot food and beverage burns, hot plate or oven burns, scalding water and more. June 5, 2006

Really, He Ain't Heavy

The words 'He ain't heavy, he's my brother' have always made me think of my brothers. The one, big, always needing, and the one, small, always giving. When I would hear the song, it would bring tears to my eyes, thinking of how the little one carried the big one and never seemed to notice the weight. July 6, 2006

How To Be Happy

Being happy is really very simple. June 5, 2007

Bye, I Love You

I didn't know it was the last time I would see him standing there, waving me good-bye. I didn't know how thankful I'd be that I had stopped in to see him that day. "Bye, I love you!" These were the last words my brother spoke to me. February, 2008

The Lifeboat Game

This is a game that's played in schools and colleges, designed to find out how children and young adults would decide the importance of another's life. I decided to see what Alex would think of it. Then I made up a lifeboat passenger, Ms Ruthie, and wrote a little something from her point of view. February/March, 2008

Why?

People tend to need reasons and they insert their own when no others are readily available. So here are some reasons. April 26, 2008
