According to Lynn Graves, the information on the back of the photo was written by his mother, Loise Geline Castellaw Graves, daughter of Jelks Flanoy Castellaw pictured.
Loise writes: "They had come to Texas from Tenn in covered wagons. Jelks and Jessie B came on the train with their mother. After their loss of several children, The Castellaws returned to Tenn."
About the children front, left, she writes: "One of Pop's (Jelks) sisters was married to a Cobb. She died early in life and these were her sons."
The sister she was speaking of was in the photo (Lucy). She would die about a year after this photo was taken. The children in the photo (Paul and Flynn) are actually a boy and a girl.
