Cheryl was born at home on the kitchen table. Her father delivered her and the doctor stopped by afterwards to document things. This is the story according to her mother.
Cheryl was named "Cheryl Lea" by her father, after a lady named Shirley that he was having an affair with. Shirley later had a daughter she also named Cheryl Lea. This is the story as told by Cheryl's mother and later confirmed by her father.
Joey Wayne Swindle's biological father was Thomas 'Tommy' Earl Johnson. Joey's last name was changed to Johnson upon the divorce of Jesse Swindle and Cheryl Straight.
