Notes
Cheryl Straight and Jesse Swindle were very good friends who married at sixteen because they wanted to be grown. They wanted to begin their own lives without restrictions. They told their parents they were in love and their parents signed the papers. They moved to Dallas where they were kind of, but not really, a couple for only a few months. Jesse was a small town boy and soon left for home.
Joey Wayne Swindle's biological father is Thomas Earl Johnson. Cheryl was with him for almost five years, but never married him. Joey's last name was changed to Johnson upon the divorce of Jesse Swindle and Cheryl Straight.
