Diet and Cholestoral
August 31 2005
We ordered the Essiac tea. Although I'm not sure about cat's claw, it was very reasonably priced, so we almost ordered it, too. Then we read that it could cause problems if you were taking medications that are changed and broken down by the liver. Judy is taking Lescol.
Later on, Judy said she didn't like taking the Lescol because of the damage it might do to her liver, so she's going to stop taking it. Hopefully her new diet will help keep her cholesterol level down.
The fewer medications Judy is on, the better.
So far her diet plan is fruits (lots of berries), real juice, garlic, teas (including green and Essiac), purified water, extra vitamins, lots of green vegetables, less meat and no sugar.
I hope to have a completed plan within the next few days. I'll then make a chart and we'll add to it as we go.
