Notes
Family notes have Mary's husband as Charles V in one place and John in another. Daniel Carroll Jr doesn't recall a 'Charles V'. His name could possibly be John Charles. Mary McDonald Carroll's obituary lists her husband, Charles, as next of kin.
Charles and Mary Carroll are listed in the 1910 Federal Census with their ten year old grandson, Daniel Carroll. Frank M Carroll is listed in the same area of New Orleans, with his wife and four children. His ten year old son, Daniel, is not counted in his household. For whatever reason Daniel was with the grandparents, it was a stroke of luck for me. It helped me to be certain I had found the correct Charles and Mary Carroll.
