Notes
The following notes are taken from emails I received from George J Flick Jr.
"Cecil Grasshoff told me that Carolina Bopp’s name was pronounced as Kar line a. She was very kind to an orphanage that was located somewhere in the vicinity of Aunt Margaret’s residence (passed down information I don’t know how accurate). I was also told that she sponsored social events for the orphanage residents (again, passed down information)."
"I can provide some information I received from my grandfather (very limited) that may be useful. Grandfather told me that his father, Jacob Flick, was a cobbler and his stepfather was a river pilot. I understand Carolina Bopp’s mother was married twice – once to Bopp and the other to Dobleman."
"Many records may be available at the St. Vincent DePaul church on Dauphine Street in New Orleans. The church was the Flick/Behrens’ family church."
Pictures/Memorabilia
